The expansion Utah Royals acquired FC Kansas City’s roster after it folded.
The club landed new coach Laura Harvey, luring the two-time NWSL coach of the year away from Seattle, and has invested in a sleek locker room for the team.
Harvey honored forward Sydney Leroux’s trade request and has built a balanced roster.
Forward Amy Rodriguez returns after suffering a torn ACL.
Defenders Becky Sauerbrunn and Kelley O’Hara will also be key leaders for the Royals.
