BOSTON, Mass. — New England Revolution II completed the club’s ninth all-time signing Tuesday by adding forward Meny Silva, a Boston-area native, to the inaugural roster.
Silva, 17, scored six goals across 20 combined appearances with the Revolution Academy’s U-17 and U-19 teams from 2017-19.
He joined the Revolution’s Residency Program last year and also trained with the club’s first team at times during the 2019 MLS season.
Silva stands 5-foot-8 and is of Cape Verdean descent. He turns 18 in February – roughly five weeks before Revolution II starts its first season in USL League One with a March 28 match against Orlando City B at Gillette Stadium.
