D.C. United captain Wayne Rooney arrested for public intoxication

WASHINGTON — D.C. United captain Wayne Rooney was arrested by Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority last month for public swearing and intoxication, according to authorities. On Dec. 16, MWAA authorities arrested Rooney at Dulles International airport, reported first by ABC7’s Erin Hawksworth.
