CDC issues guidance on mass gatherings that could shut down MLS, NWSL and USL for 2 months
The new guidelines directly name sporting events as the type of mass gatherings to halt during the next eight weeks.
The league called for a pause in training for all clubs through March 22 and asked all players to remain in their respective markets during that time.
The league suspended training for two days in order to provide more time to assess future plans for club activity.
The clubs are in agreement with the league’s decision as the season’s April 18 start date approaches
National Women’s Soccer League has not announced any changes to season openers currently scheduled for April
The new partnerships will provide broadcasts of 87 games in the U.S. on CBS and all 108 games outside the U.S. on Twitch.
