Pressing has become one of New England Revolution head coach Brad Friedel’s preferred tactics for games this season, and it’s been particularly effective.
New England has scored 13 goals in eight games this season. The team’s dynamic midfielders – namely Diego Fagundez, Cristian Penilla, and Luis Caicedo – push forward into the attack and create chances, pinning opponents back.
Though the tactic requires energy, stamina and focus from all areas of the pitch, the Revolution are capitalizing with little trouble.
