The LA Galaxy are looking to break their three-game losing streak in their match Saturday at 12:30pm PT against FC Dallas at Toyota Park in Frisco, Texas. All time, the Galaxy are 33-25-12 against FC Dallas, and 9-19-7 away to Dallas.
Frustration is setting in from recent results. Players and staff recognize it is more little mistakes than bad luck causing results to turn against their favor.
“I definitely wouldn’t call it unlucky,” midfielder Sebastian Lleget said. “We need to take responsibility for these little things that we do. Any chance that they are in their attacking third, it always looks like they’re going to score. It’s never that easy for us, so we need to flip that.”
Head coach Sigi Schmid has had a rotating lineup due to injuries this season, and this game is no different. It has been reported that midfielder Giovani Dos Santos did not travel to Dallas for this weekend’s match. While the club has not confirmed his lack of travel, Dos Santos was seen leaving training on Wednesday wincing and holding the same hamstring that gave him grief earlier in the season. The other Dos Santos brother, Jonathan, is expected to make the starting lineup today after recovering from his recent calf injury.
Defender Ashley Cole is only one yellow card away from a suspension due to yellow card accumulation, while defensive midfielder Perry Kitchen is two yellow cards away from suspension.
