LA Galaxy look to end 4-game losing streak against Montreal

The Galaxy head to Quebec to take on the Montreal Impact at 3 p.m. ET Monday, Victoria Day, at Saputo Stadium. All time, the Galaxy are 2-1-3 against the Impact and 0-1-2 in Montreal.

This match is the first of three games within a 10-day span for the Galaxy, who then play at home against the San Jose Earthquakes on Friday and FC Dallas on May 30th. They currently sit in ninth place in the Western conference, and are in the midst of a four-game losing streak, allowing a total of eleven goals in those four games.

Galaxy captain Ashley Cole will be unavailable for Monday’s contest due to yellow card accumulation, along with Giovani Dos Santos, who is continuing to recover from a hamstring injury. Dos Santos is expected to be available for the San Jose match, which is expected to be the last match both Dos Santos brothers will be available for before heading to the World Cup, according to Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid.

One of the very few bright spots for the Galaxy has been forward Ola Kamara finding his form as of late. He has scored a goal in the last three matches for the Galaxy, giving him four goals on the year and making him the team’s leading goal scorer. The team is looking to Kamara and other offensive-minded players to help the team to its first win since April 14th.

Because of the mid-Monday kickoff, there are no official viewing parties scheduled for fans, but the match is available locally on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes. Out-of-market audiences can watch the game on ESPN+.
