Former Orlando Pride midfielder Kaylyn Kyle and husband Harrison Heath, currently a Minnesota United midfielder, welcomed a new baby boy.
Kyle, who has been documenting her efforts to stay fit during pregnancy on Instagram, posted a photo of the couple’s new son, Hayden Jackson Heath, on Tuesday.
Harrison Heath, a former Orlando City player and son of ex-Lions coach Adrian Heath, met Kyle when both were competing in Orlando.
After the Pride parted ways with Kyle ahead of the 2017 season and Harrison Heath was traded to Atlanta, she retired from professional soccer and the couple moved to Georgia. Kyle, a former Canadian national team standout, has since done broadcast work in Canada and runs a series of soccer camps along with a fashion blog. Atlanta opted not to renew Heath’s contract and he was later signed by Minnesota.
Their former teammates and friends back in Orlando were quick to congratulate the couple on their growing family.
It has been an eventual month for former Pride players.
Current Orlando Pride standout Kristen Edmonds announced on Instagram during the weekend she is spending extra time on the West Coast celebrating with best friend Jasmyne Spencer, a former Orlando Pride forward who was traded to the Seattle Reign and recently got engaged.
