FC Dallas announced it is transferring offseason acquisition Anton Nedyalkov to Bulgarian side Ludagarets.
Nedyalkov had been injured for the last few weeks due to a broken collarbone he suffered during training. He started nine matches for Dallas, totaling 770 minutes at left back, where he provided a solid presence.
“Anton added a lot to our back line during his short time here,” FC Dallas Technical Director Fernando Clavijo told FCDallas.com. “His range also helped our attack on the left side but he had some family issues that required his attention back in Bulgaria. We are sad to see him go but wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Nedyalkov played for CSKA Sofia in his native Bulgaria before moving to FC Dallas. Ludagarets has won seven straight league titles, including the most recent one during the 2017-2018 season.
“The Ludogorez transfer is a step forward in my career and I hope to help the team to become a Bulgarian champion and to play in the Champions League,” Nedyalkov told the Ludagarets website.
