HARRISON, N.J. — Four days was not enough time for Kemar Lawrence to recover from an injury and make the matchday squad for the New York Red Bulls’ second leg of the Eastern Conference final against Atlanta United. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at Red Bull Arena. FS1 is broadcasting the match.
Connor Lade is starting at left back for the second consecutive game in place of the injured Lawrence, who was not healthy enough to make Chris Armas’ bench as a substitute.
Armas chose the same XI from the 3-0 first leg defeat to Atlanta United on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
After using three center backs on Sunday, Gerardo “Tata” Martino is opting for a traditional back four headlined by Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and captain Michael Parkhurst.
Like Armas, Martino chose the same starting XI as Sunday.
