Orlando City sends centerback Amro Tarek to Red Bulls for 4th-round SuperDraft pick

Orlando City continues to gather assets ahead of the 2019 season.

The club on Tuesday announced Egyptian centerback Amro Tarek (who was acquired before the start of the 2018 season) has been traded to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. On Sunday, the club announced it received a SuperDraft pick for Brazilian left back/midfielder PC.

Tarek made 20 appearances (19 starts) for Orlando City in 2018. He scored one goal last season. He was also called up to the Egyptian national team multiple times throughout the season.

Orlando City currently owns the No. 3, No. 27, No. 59, No. 94 and No. 96 picks in the 2019 SuperDraft.
