The United States women’s national team will close its pre-World Cup training with 10 days at Tottenham Hotspur’s training center in Enfield, England.
The team heads to England after a 3-0 victory Sunday against Mexico at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.
The U.S. will then travel to Reims, France, June 7 in preparation for its first World Cup match there June 11 against Thailand.
“Widely recognized as one of the best soccer training grounds in Europe, if the not the world, it is located in North London about 16 miles from the city center,” read a statement released Monday afternoon by U.S. Soccer. “The Lodge — which opened about a year ago — includes 15 grass pitches, world-class player preparation areas, a pool and hydrotherapy complex, an altitude room, a large-scale gym, specialized rehabilitation suites, luxurious high-end hotel-type rooms for the players and staff, meeting rooms and a restaurant, among its many amenities.”
The Lodge is home to Tottenham’s first team and academy. Tottenham will play for the UEFA Champions League Final June 1 against Liverpool in Madrid, Spain.
We can now for the first time reveal exclusive imagery of our completed player accommodation Lodge, adjacent to our world-class Training Centre in Enfield.
