Orlando City acquires $200,000 in General Allocation Money from Galaxy

The two clubs exchanged Targeted Allocation Money for General Allocation Money.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando City received $200,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday in exchange for $136,220 in Targeted Allocation Money (TAM).

The trade comes on the heels of several midseason allocations for the club. Orlando City acquired midfielder Robinho from the Columbus Crew in exchange for $50,000 of TAM at the start of July. The team also signed midfielder Mauricio Pereyra two weeks ago after his contract with his Russian club expired.

The two clubs previously executed a traded earlier in the 2019 season. In early April, Orlando City acquired $400,000 in TAM — split up so that it would receive $300,000 in 2019 and the remaining $100,000 in 2020 — along with the No. 11 Allocation Order Spot from the Galaxy. In exchange, the Galaxy received the No. 2 Allocation Order spot.
