New England Revolution to trial Boston to Gillette Stadium train service for Sunday’s home finale

This is part of a trial run between the Revolution and the MBTA, which serves Gillette Stadium on most New England Patriots game days.

Train service will run between downtown Boston and Gillette Stadium this Sunday for the New England Revolution’s home finale against New York City FC.

The Revolution are collaborating with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to provide round trip service for the first time this season, a club spokesperson told Pro Soccer USA.

This is part of a trial run between the Revolution and the MBTA, which serves Gillette Stadium on most New England Patriots game days. The Foxboro train stop is located feet away from the Gillette Stadium parking area.

On Sunday, a commuter train will leave South Station at 2:10 p.m. and make three stops – Back Bay, Route 128, and Mansfield – before pulling into Foxboro at 3:30 p.m., 90 minutes before Sunday’s game starts.

The return train will leave Gillette Stadium 30 minutes after the final whistle, according to the MBTA.

Round trip service costs $20 per person.
