Orlando Pride acquires rights to Chloe Logarzo through NWSL re-entry wire

The midfielder has played for the Australian national team since 2013, scoring against Brazil in the World Cup this summer.

The Orlando Pride claimed rights to Australian midfielder Chloe Logarzo through the NWSL re-entry wire on Tuesday.

Logarzo most recently played for the Washington Spirit, starting nine times during 15 total appearances and netting one goal for the club this season.

The 24-year-old midfielder is a regular member of the Australian women’s national team, earning her senior debut at the age of 18 and playing alongside current Pride midfielders Alanna Kennedy and Emily van Egmond. She played in all four of the Matildas’ matches at the World Cup this summer, scoring an equalizer during the team’s 3-2 victory over Brazil.

Logarzo currently plays for Sydney FC in the Australian W-League.
